If you’ve always wanted to learn how to make pottery on the potter’s wheel, this is the workshop for you.
Suitable for complete beginners, or those who have minimal experience on the pottery wheel, this workshop is designed to kick-start your ceramics practice and teach you the basic techniques required to take a piece from raw material to functional ware. Over two days (3 hours per day), you’ll:

Includes all tuition, materials, equipment, glazing and firing of work.
Please wear enclosed shoes, trim long fingernails, tie long hair back, and wear comfy clothes. Bring an apron if you wish (towels provided by The Pumphouse)
About the Artist
Nissa Jahnke has been working with clay for five years, with a focus on producing functional ware on the pottery wheel. Nissa’s ceramics career began in Queensland, where she attended various pottery courses to refine her wheel technique and glaze knowledge, before setting up her own studio. Having relocated to Albury this year, Nissa now works from The Pumphouse, and she is looking forward to sharing her skills with her local creative community.
