Membership Types

There are four categories of memberships

Full Maker

Cost

$ 130 / month

Full Membership is a minimum 6-month commitment.

  • Full independent access during opening hours (8am – 9pm daily) to the shared resources such as ceramics, small works and fibre arts spaces.
  • Safety induction and technical advice with The Pumphouse Technicians.
  • Priority for mentorship programs and artist in residence workshops.
  • Member prices on events, classes, masterclasses.

Studio Maker (EOI)

Cost

from $ 525 / month

Additional $150 per month if studio is to be shared between two or more people.

Three bright and spacious studio spaces are available for six months per tenancy. Each private studio is clean, secure, versatile and can be customised to suit the artist. Studio Membership provides an opportunity to incubate and develop your creative business and plan for the next stage of your practice.

Studio artist membership includes: 

  • Full access to the shared studio resources such as ceramics, small works and fibre arts spaces.   
  • 24/7 independent access to The Pumphouse facilities and a private, lockable studio. 
  • Safety induction and technical advice with The Pumphouse Technicians. 
  • Priority for mentorship programs and Artist in Residence workshops. 
  • Member prices on events and masterclasses. 

Guidelines for Studio Maker memberships

 

Casual Maker

Cost

$ 180 / month

Month by month membership. Perfect for artists and makers who might be working on short term projects.

  • Full independent access during the hours when staff are onsite, Tuesday & Wednesday 9am – 5pm, Thursday & Friday 10am – 7pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am – 5pm
  • Access during supervised hours to the shared resources such as ceramics, small works and fibre arts spaces.
  • Safety induction and technical advice with The Pumphouse Technicians.
  • Priority for mentorship programs and artist in residence workshops.
  • Member prices on events, masterclasses and kiln firing services.

 

*Please note, payment will be processed 14 days after sign-up to allow sufficient time to attend an on-site induction.

Casual Maker (Hourly)

Cost

$25 / hour

Great for a trial or for makers who have a specific project to work on.

Safety induction must be completed separately prior to the first booking, and is current for 6 months.

Access during supervised opening hours – when staff are onsite, to the ceramics, small works and fibre arts spaces:

  • Tuesday 9am – 5pm
  • Wednesday 9am – 5pm
  • Thursday 10am – 7pm
  • Friday 10am – 7pm
  • Saturday 10am – 3pm
  • Sunday 10am – 3pm
  • Supervised access is unavailable on Mondays.
