Located right in the heart of The Pumphouse, our ceramics space offers a spacious and fully equipped environment for a wide range of ceramic methods. This dedicated maker space provides opportunities for members to expand their knowledge, hone their skills, and nurture their ceramic arts practice.
Given the very broad nature of textile and fibre arts, the Fibre Arts maker space provides a diverse offering of resources and space.
Equipped with machines and tools for weaving, stitching, spinning and more, the space is perfect for makers to further explore techniques, mediums and specialist tools.
This space has a custom made, fully equipped jewellery bench and all the equipment you would expect to see in a professional maker space. The work bench has six workstations for jewellery making, and is suitable for individual or group work.
As the name suggests, this area is suitable for a range of practices including small sculpture, metal work, silver and goldsmithing and all types of jewellery making.
The Pumphouse has been fitted out with three light filled studio spaces available for hire by artists needing a dedicated space to work.
In addition to your private studio, you’ll have access to our shared maker spaces, fostering collaboration and inspiration among fellow artists. Whether you’re looking to refine your craft or explore new artistic horizons, The Pumphouse provides the perfect setting to elevate your work.
Studio spaces are limited, and awarded by an Expression of Interest process.
Located conveniently outside the staff offices and bathroom facilities, this room serves as a versatile area for Pumphouse users. Whether you need a place to eat lunch, prepare for a workshop, or meet with others, this space is designed to meet your needs
This shared space is perfect for small meetings, providing a comfortable and functional environment for various activities. Take a break from the maker spaces, collaborate with others, or simply unwind in this dedicated area.
The grounds of The Pumphouse have been newly landscaped to provide grassed and gravel spaces for a range of possibilities including; outdoor workshops, collaborating experiences with other members, wellbeing activities associated with art-making workshops or for installations, events or small gatherings.
