Join gold and silversmith Amy Lees-Doherty for an artist talk about art residencies and other opportunities.

In this session, Amy will cover:

  • what an art residency is
  • why you might undertake a residency
  • how to find residencies and other opportunities
  • what to look for and look out for
  • funding options, tips and tricks when applying and creating a strong application.

There will also be plenty of opportunity for questions and answers.

About the Artist

Amy Lees-Doherty is a Melbourne-based contemporary gold and silversmith, artist, and craftsperson. Her work explores narrative and identity across a range of mediums, particularly wearable art. Passionate about environmental sustainability, she combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques to create evolving pieces that reflect her commitment to exploration and continuous learning. Amy has undertaken residencies in both Europe and Australia, with her work featured in exhibitions nationally and internationally. Her work can be found in private collections across Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong.
