Saturday 2 May, 10:00am – 4:30pm
Join fibre artist Denise Lithgow in this sculpture vessel workshop to create unique felted vessels and broaden your felting knowledge.
Under Denise’s expert guidance, you’ll learn how to transform wet felt into striking, three-dimensional forms using a flat resist method to create seamless vessels from luxurious merino wool.
During the session, you’ll progressively build a range of skills to confidently design and craft your own unique felted pieces. Explore exciting techniques such as surface design, wool blending (by hand and machine), and adding decorative accents with yarns, silk, and fibres for truly distinctive results.
If you’re ready to move beyond flat felt and venture into sculptural forms, this workshop is the perfect opportunity. Suitable for most levels, just bring a sense of curiosity, enthusiasm and imagination.
