Textiles pins and scissors on the bench

Patricia Cerminara

Why did you want to become part of The Pumphouse Think Tank?

I became part of the pump house working group as I felt it was an opportunity to be part of a team of other artists who wanted to see a vibrant place for artists to come together and share ideas for the space.

What are the key opportunities you see for The Pumphouse and you are interested in creating?

I see many opportunities for the space in a variety of different ways. In particular different art styles, opportunities for youth and emerging artists as well as experienced artists that may bring different ideas to share. I also see a key opportunity for marketing and selling art as well as producing it.

What do you see as the main strengths of The Pumphouse for Arts & Culture in our region?

For me the main strengths are its position as it is on beautiful country along the river among the natural elements of art itself. I believe it’s been developed by local people for all people, so it comes with its own story and journey.

Where do you want to see The Pumphouse in the next 5 -10 years?

I want to see its growth to be vibrant unique, and welcoming but mostly alive with people and art forms from all artists. I hope to see it have work shops and external artists who come to share ideas and art forms to have works shops and open days to show case art via exhibitions.

What have you experienced on while being on the Think Tank?

Growth in the team I have had the privilege to work alongside. Great knowledge and talent of other pump house working group members. Excellent passion from the Albury City Council driving team.

Why have you enjoyed being on the Think Tank?

Everything it’s been an exciting journey to see the old pump house come to life. The team worked well together, and all ideas were listened to and valued.
